Hand-forged knife classifiable to the Iron Age, the Vikings (Scandinavia) and the various Germanic tribes of northern Europe. This type of knife is very widespread and difficult to type, but it occurs throughout the Middle Ages until modern times, where we know it as a "blacksmith" knife or used in various types by leatherworkers and farriers. This piece was intended for the early Middle Ages and consists of a set of knife, awl (needlefork, food pricker, names are many ) and a leather sheath with divided compartments. The knife consists of a back of mild decarburized steel, and the blade is made of a strip of ordinary steel of type 1095. Forge welded on charcoal. The blade is hardened and designed for normal use. The handle is decorated with different spins and twists, this knife is the only one of its type and shape in our offer. We never produce the same pieces. The Awl is also made of mild steel and the spike itself (10 cm) is steel 1095. The leather is 2mm cowhide, hand-sewn and split so that the objects do not get stuck and damaged if they are in one compartment together. Pulling boths items out is easy, but both the knife and the awl hold in place during normal wear because the sheath is deep. Suitable for costume in the early Middle Ages, for cosplay or for common use in nature, because both items have a wide and excellent use.
