That's why we asked Tomer Botner, founder of the Barcelona-based knife-making studio Florentine Kitchen Knives, to create a handle for the Tormek T-1 in his distinctive, colorful style. It was instantly clear how well it would contrast with the otherwise subtly industrial design of the Tormek T-1. Florentine Kitchen Knives has long used Tormek's water-cooled sharpening system in the production of their high-end knives. This time instead it is Tomer's eye for design and Florentine Kitchen Knives' genuine craftsmanship that has resulted in the Tormek T-1 Florentine Vibrant. The handles are randomly assembled from a specific palette, which means that no two machines are identical but have their own fingerprint. The collaboration has also been immortalized by stamping both brands' logos into the fully cast zinc housing. Optional - Florentine Kedma Paring Knife Tomer and Florentine Kitchen Knives have also developed a few paring knives with handles in the same palette, randomly composed, as the handle of the Tormek T-1 Florentine Vibrant. This knife has also been graced with both the Tormek and Florentine Kitchen Knives logos laser etched on the blade. The Florentine Kedma Paring Knife is a handmade knife for all those meticulous jobs that are done just by hand and not on the cutting board, such as peeling and garnishing. It’s also great for other smaller, quicker tasks.
